At Savings Little Hearts of Nicaragua (SLHON), you will make a connection that counts. SLHON is a not-for-profit volunteer-driven organization. By becoming a volunteer, you are joining the many members, supporters, and partners who are dedicated to helping build a better life for the children, families, and communities in Nicaragua. Volunteering is fun, rewarding, and will give you a sense of goodwill. You will make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Policy volunteers – People who serve on SLHON Board and/or as an Advisory member.
- Fundraising volunteers – Persons who participate in efforts to fund the projects and mission trips of SLHON.
- Mission volunteers – Individuals who of members of a team assembled to go on a mission trip to Nicaragua to execute projects.
- Program volunteers- People committed to the planning, development, and implementation of activities that have specific objectives that are ongoing in nature such the the “OwnAWell” program.
